Cupro alloys corporation offers a wide range of high quality silver copper phosphorus brazing alloys in various shapes like rods, wires, strips, rings and custom designed performs. These alloys are extensively used for joining copper and copper based alloys. They have self-fluxing properties when used on copper, but requires flux when joining brass or bronze.
Kindly refer to the below products to select the best suited CUPROSIL® Silver Copper Phosphorus Brazing Alloy for your brazing requirements.

‘CUPROSIL 5P’ has good flow and wetting properties on copper, brass, and bronze. Its melting characteristics are such that on the low end of its brazing temperature range it has ‘sluggish’ flow characteristics which enable it to fill gaps better, making it ideal for loose-fitting joints. On the other hand, when brazing at high end of its brazing temperature range, it is very fluid, making ideal for tight-fitting joints requiring deep penetration. The phosphorous content of CUPROSIL 5P’ acts as a fluxing agent and no flux is necessary when brazing copper-to-copper joints. However, when used with one of the other brazeable metals, a brazing flux must be used to promote wetting, bonding, and flow throughout the joint.

CUPROSIL 2P is extremely fluid at brazing temperatures and will penetrate joint with very little clearance. Melting of CUPROSIL 2P is virtually complete at 732°C. Best results are obtained when brazing slightly above this temperature. The phosphorus content of CUPROSIL 2P acts as a fluxing agent and no flux is necessary when brazing copper to copper joints. However, when used with one of the other brazeable metals, a brazing flux must be used to promote wetting, bonding and flow throughout the joint.
