Cupro Alloys Corporation offers a huge range of high quality Silver Brazing Alloys Cadmium Bearing in various shapes like rods, wires, rings, strips/foil and other custom designed performs. Due to the presence of Cadmium, this range exhibits the lowest melting points of all Silver Brazing Alloys. These alloys are highly versatile, free-flowing and make high strength joints.

‘CUPROSIL 45’ is the lowest melting brazing alloy available composed of silver, copper, zinc and cadmium. It is suitable for use on most metals except aluminum and magnesium. It is used for joining steel, copper, copper alloys, nickel, nickel alloys or combinations of these metals. It has wide acceptance by industrial users. It has a narrow melting range which is not apparent in most brazing operations, making it flow freely through a capillary.

‘CUPROSIL 43’ can be used in brazing operations requiring a low temperature, quick and complete penetration. It results in neat joints of high strength that need little or no finish. It is essentially an alloy for use where joints are closely fitted or where it is desired to employ a single brazing alloy that will be effective in wide range of applications.

‘CUPROSIL 40’ is a general purpose, cadmium-bearing, silver brazing alloy, with very low melting point, narrow melting range, and excellent flow properties. Thanks to its low melting point and fluidity properties, it is among the most easy-to-use cadmium-bearing silver brazing alloy, and finds its application in numerous industrial sectors. Brazing procedures range from manual to induction techniques. When brazing in an oxidizing environment a proper flux should be used.

‘CUPROSIL 35’ is free-flowing and suited for general purpose work. Its broader melting range is helpful where clearances are not uniform. During melting, it passes from the solid state to a mushy or plastic state and progressively to a liquid. If heated slowly through this plastic state (1125-1295 ºF), the liquid portion may flow from the solid portion. This causes a separation of the alloy into a low-temperature melting (fluid) portion and a high-temperature melting (solid) portion. This phenomenon is called liquation. This high-temperature melting portion will melt only above its normal brazing temperature. For this reason it should be heated rapidly through the melting range.

CUPROSIL 30 is similar to CUPROSIL 35 in performance although it contains less silver. Its broader melting range is helpful where clearances are not uniform. During melting, it passes from the solid state to a mushy or plastic state and progressively to a liquid. If heated slowly through this plastic state (1125-1310 F), the liquid portion may flow from the solid portion. This causes a separation of the alloy into a low-temperature melting (fluid) portion and a high-temperature melting (solid) portion. This phenomenon is called liquation. This high-temperature melting portion will melt only above the normal brazing temperature of CUPROSIL 30. For this reason it should be heated rapidly through the melting range.

‘CUPROSIL 25’ is similar to ‘CUPROSIL 30’ in performance although it contains less silver. Its broader melting range is helpful where clearances are not uniform. During melting, it passes from the solid state to a mushy or plastic state and progressively to a liquid. If heated slowly through this plastic state (1125-1375 ºF), the liquid portion may flow from the solid portion. This causes a separation of the alloy into a low-temperature melting (fluid) portion and a high-temperature melting (solid) portion. This phenomenon is called liquation. This high-temperature melting portion will melt only above the normal brazing temperature of ‘CUPROSIL 25’. For this reason it should be heated rapidly through the melting range.
